Bayh Decides Against Re-election Bid
You know something is wrong in Washington when the sole reason why a U.S. Senator decides not to run for another term is because there is too much partisanship… I don’t blame him for jumping ship. Washington has become a cesspool of complacency, there has yet to be that “change” that is desperately needed in Washington; however, the problem is that there is no one politician that can change all of Washington. It takes a nation of people that not just elects representatives who sell to them change, but a nation of people who push those elected officials to make change. How many of us on a regular basis who wishes for change (i.e. job creation, healthcare) send letters to their Congress person or Senator? I asked this very question in an International Relations and Macroeconomics class and not one person did anything other than bitch and complain to the class about the things that are wrong without honestly saying they tried to make an effort. Change cannot be spurred from one man, or district, but one NATION who truly wants change only then will we get what we want.
